Greenwood's Varsity Competitive Spirit Team was vote best in stunts at the afternoon session of the Competitive Spirit Competition at Central Dauphin High School on Saturday.
Miss Pauling’s first grade kiddos played “headbands” with their glued sound words. They had to give each other clues without saying any words that were on the card.

The Susquehanna Service Dogs visited our school. The Reading Dogs and their handlers, Sue Knode and Karen Johnston will be visiting 1st and 4th grade classrooms throughout the school year to listen to kids read!
STEM Challenge: Build your own Mayflower. How many passengers can it hold? A group of second graders took on this challenge. Take a look at what they constructed. One of the ships held more 257 passengers!

Miss Pauling’s and Mrs. Seibert’s friends read the book “Big Pumpkin” in which a witch was unable to move a pumpkin because it was TOO big. After, they worked on building and creating different modes of transportation to lift and move a pumpkin.
Mrs. Anderson’s class took on a spooky-sweet Halloween STEM challenge yesterday. Students used various items to build a new home for a gummy frog or spider. We have some creative kinder kids here at Greenwood!
Mrs. Gantt’s kinderkids participated in a candy corn stack challenge!
Tomorrow will be the October ROAR Rally at the Elementary School. Don’t forget your blue and gold!
