Girls Basketball Playoffs
First grade celebrated the 100th day of school in a multitude of ways. They have working hard counting to 100 by 2s, 5s and 10s. Because of this, they brought in 100 mystery items from home. They each wrote three clues for their classmates to guess. They also had three STEM based centers. They built cup towers with varying cup values to equal 100. They also had to use 100 pattern blocks to create a party hat. The last center they had to create the number 100 out of legos.

Please register your child as soon as possible so they can start tracking their minutes. All funds raised will be split between our school fund and Mini-THON. First grade loved celebrating groundhogs day! They started the day off watching the results. Then, they read and sequenced the story of groundhog's day. They researched and collected facts on their iPads. Last, they experimented with shadows! They loved learning about the effects of light.

Miss Pauling's class filled their class reward bucket and were able to have a robot day! They started the day with the code and go mice. The kiddos programmed it to spell their Fundation trick words. For math, they drove the dashbots from an equation to its matching solution. Then, they coded Indi to recreate the story of the three little pigs. Each group created a character from the story and had the bot act out the scenes from the book.
