The 9th grade class traveled to East Pennsboro High School today to attend the annual STEM Summit where they participated in hands-on activities relating to 9 different areas of STEM fields, from physics to robotics to electrical engineering.










Happy Almost Eclipse Day! To celebrate, first grade had an astronaut day. During the week, they researched each of the 8 planets, the sun and moon, too! On Friday, they dressed the part. They utilized their knowledge about space to write about what they would do if they became an astronaut. In the afternoon, they created their own constellations!









Kindergarten is hosting their annual POPCORN SALE at recess on April 16, 17, and 18! The cost of the popcorn is $1.00 per bag. Thank you for the support!

In celebration of the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8th, Kindergarten and First graders are learning about this phenomenon by creating their very own solar eclipse during STEM. 🌎 🌕 ☀️

Students in the 8th grade English classes wrote and published their own folklore to share with several elementary classes. The older students had so much fun writing their stories and seeing how much the younger students enjoyed hearing them.










Elementary students are selling subs and pizzas from Marianna's. All 14"subs and 12" pizzas are $10. Money and orders are due on Tuesday, April 2nd and delivery will be on April 15th. Checks should be made payable to Greenwood Elementary PTO. Make sure to order yours today!
STEM Project in 2nd grade today! Help Rapunzel get down from the tower safely. These creative students came up with slides, pulleys, and a ladder.










Another fun day of first and fifth grade buddies! Today we learned about the simple machine, wheel and axel. We then built upon our knowledge to create mini cars that could transport an egg. The kiddos tested the stability and power of their cars on ramps.

For two months our students and staff have been coming up with ideas and voting to give our elementary Wildcat a name. At this morning's ROAR Rally we finally revealed it.

To celebrate women's history month, first and fifth grade buddies learned about the famous paleontologist, Mary Anning. After reading about her great finds, they too were able to give paleontology a try. Each buddy partner was given a page of dinosaur bones. Their job was to decide how they all went together.









The Greenwood Girls Basketball team has advanced to the Semi-Finals as one of the Final Four teams in Class 1A Girls Basketball in Pennsylvania! The Wildcats will face the Mountain View Eagles on Tuesday March 19th 6:00 pm at Berwick High School.
