Superintendent Message

Dear Wildcat Families,

As we approach the winter season, and winter weather advisory messages start to appear in our forecast, I would like to provide you with some important information regarding our plan in the event of severe winter weather.

First and foremost, the safety of our students is our top priority. If inclement weather conditions, such as heavy snow or icy roads make it unsafe for students to travel to school, we may need to implement a delayed start, school closure, or remote learning day. We will follow guidance to make the best decision for the safety of our students. We understand that winter weather can sometimes disrupt the regular school schedule, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during such times.

In the event of a delayed start, closure, or remote day, we will notify you through the typical communication channels, email, text, and phone call. This information will also be found within the alert banner at the top of our webpage.

A copy of the remote day live lesson schedules and instructions for each building is linked to this letter and posted on our webpage. Link to Remote Day Documents

The building principals will share this information with you again when a remote day is announced. If you have any questions or concerns about our winter weather procedures, please reach out to your child’s school. We value your partnership and thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Dr. Mary Murphy-Kahn

Superintendent
