Facility Improvement - Synthetic Turf Field

During last month's Board meeting work session, the Greenwood School Board was presented a feasibility study on the potential facility improvement pertaining to a synthetic turf field.  Three different options were presented.  Specifics included field layout, location assessment, costs, etc…upon conclusion of the presentation, five members of the community and the School Board expressed viewpoints on the topic.  Topics mentioned included overall cost to the district, academic upgrade desires (AP classes), financing options impact, upgrading the arts facilities, putting a fence around any field installation, being mindful of our community as it pertains to cost, parking, community access to an all weather track, maintenance and replacement expectations for turf and the potential to generate revenue by hosting events.  The district will host another feasibility study for our community on Monday, March 4 at 6:30 pm in the high school auditorium.  Here is a copy of the study:  Greenwood Feasibility Study
